The date 1883 is engraved under the neck.
Exceptional one piece violin made between 1883 and 1884,
in Normandy by a sabot-maker.
The back, the sides, the soundboard, the neck and the head
are made of an only one block of fir... The body was hollowed out
by grooving through the "ff"...
Total length: 60,5cm.
